Social Post 09: MEES & EPC Risk

MEES regulations require rental properties to meet minimum EPC ratings.
The building owner's metering data is used to calculate those ratings.
If that data is AI-estimated and undocumented, the EPC calculation is unreliable.
Scenario:
Building is flagged as "non-compliant" due to poor EPC
Owner must remediate
Later: discovery the metering was wrong, not the efficiency
Reputational and financial damage
VMGA governance prevents this by:
Documenting all AI estimates
Validating against reference meters
Disclosing accuracy ranges
Making data auditable
Building Safety regulators increasingly ask: "How accurate is your metering?"
Organizations with documented VMGA governance answer with confidence.
