Theme: Disability & Accommodation
Thermal sensitivity is not rare. Autonomic dysregulation, POTS, ME/CFS, hyperthyroidism, and other conditions affecting thermoregulation affect millions of people.
But smart building systems treat thermal needs as *preferences*—one occupant's 23°C preference vs. another's 19°C preference.
Accommodation gets lost in the preference conflict.
What if buildings distinguished thermal *needs* from preferences and treated accommodation separately?
This is part of fair environmental governance.
